(WKTV) - A Dolgeville man faces a felony burglary charge after a woman woke up in the middle of the night and found him in her bedroom, Dolgeville police say.

Christopher L. Traskey, 26, was arrested Tuesday and charged with burglary in the second degree, a Class C felony, police said.

According to officials, at about 2 a.m. Tuesday, a woman woke up to find a man in her room watching her sleep. As the man walked toward her bed, the woman began yelling, which woke up her brother. The brother, who was sleeping down the hall, got up to check on his sister and the man ran out of the woman's bedroom. Police say the suspect broke into the home through a kitchen window and damaged property once he was inside. The woman knew the suspect, who is believed to have been intoxicated during the incident.

Traskey was arraigned at the Town of Manheim Court and sent to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond. Additional charges are pending.
