Donors come up with money to fix Buckley Pool

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Money has been raised to reopen the Buckley Pool, according to Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri.

In the few days that the pool has been closed, the community came together to raise nearly $15,000.

Live on NEWSChannel 2, Mayor Palmieri announced that several citizens who grew up using the pool stepped up and donated the money necessary to make repairs.

The pool's broken pump combined with electrical issues were estimated to cost Utica more than $10,000 to repair.

The pool is scheduled to reopen within the week.
