East Coast Snocross Series comes to CNY

BOONVILLE, NY-- (WKTV) Saturday launched the first year that the East Coast Snocross Series was here in Central New York.

More than 1,500 people attended the event and more than 300 riders showed up to participate.

Boonville is known throughout the snow belt as host to one of sled racings crown jewels.

It's been a strange winter season and Event Chair, Mark Burgeous, says, "you just got to love it or leave it in my opinion. You just got to enjoy it."

East Coast Snocross will continue through Sunday at the Oneida County Fairgrounds. Gates open at 10:00am. Tickets are $15 per day for adults, $10 for children ages 8 through 12, age 7 and under are free with a paying adult. Pit Passes will be available, too, for an extra $10.
