Eighteen new correction officers complete academy

(WKTV) - A graduation ceremony Wednesday afternoon recognized the completion of the Basics Correction Academy by 18 new correction officers, the Oneida County Sheriff's Office said.

The correction officers were hired in 2013 are required to go through basic training under the standards set forth by the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services.

Those who completed the academy and are members of the Oneida County Sheriff's Office include: Molly Annarino, Kelly Boher, Ryan Cornish, Joseph Davies, Michael DiNardo, Branco Dizdarevic, Jimmy Dongsavanh, Jon Lyon, Nicolas Marcano, Lindsay Mundrick, Frederick Murray, Lisa Pearsall, Jenna Pease, Joshua Pena, Ronald Sanganetti, Mark Wagner and Adam Zukowski.

Eric Johnson is with the Madison County Sheriff's Office and also completed the training.

Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol and Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente addressed the new correction officers.
