UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A 93 year old man has been upgraded to fair condition following an accident at the intersection of Court and Schuyler Streets in West Utica on Sunday involving the church van that he was a passenger in.

Authorities say a van from the Asanblea De Iglesias Cristianas Church on John Street in Utica was traveling east on Court Street toward the Arterial on Sunday when it was struck by a car driving north on Schuyler Street toward Oriskany Boulevard. Police say the female driver of the car ran through a stop sign.

There were six passengers inside the van at the time of the accident, three of which were hospitalized. One of those, Sixto Quiles, 93, was ejected from the vehicle.

On Monday morning, Quiles had been upgraded from serious to fair condition.
