ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. (WKTV) - Oneida County Election Officials were busy Wednesday morning opening hundreds of absentee, emergency and affidavit ballots.
Candidates were at the board, some with their own attorneys, watching the process. Officials expect to have ballots for the entire city of Utica opened by the end of the day Wednesday; the rest of the county by the end of the week, Monday at the latest.
The outstanding ballots could sway the outcomes of two races in the city - the Democratic primary for council-at-large and the Republican primary for the sixth ward council seat.
