Estranged wife of Remsen man charged with making a false statement

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - Savannah Loce-Lockwood, who reported to authorities she had been beaten by her estranged husband, former correctional officer Craig Lockwood, was charged Friday on allegations she made up the accusations, the Oneida County District Attorney's Office confirmed.

Loce-Lockwood is charged with making a false written statement, a misdemeanor.

All criminal charges against Craig Lockwood, of Remsen, were dropped in earlier this month at the prosecution's request.

The flood of accusations of assault, harassment and stalking began in October, leading to multiple arrests for Lockwood.

Craig Lockwood's attorney says his main goals now are winning full custody of his son and getting his job back.

If convicted, Savannah Loce-Lockwood faces up to a year in jail. Prosecutors say another person could be charged in connection with the incidents.
