Evening events canceled after welding accident at Clinton Arena

CLINTON, N.Y. (WKTV) - All events scheduled for Wednesday evening at the Clinton Arena in the Village of Clinton have been canceled following a welding accident that sent one man to the hospital.

According to Arena officials, a man was welding inside the building around 4 p.m. and a small explosion occurred. Anyone inside the building was evacuated while fire and emergency crews responded to the scene. The man was taken to the hospital via ambulance.

Shortly after, all activities at the arena scheduled for Wednesday evening were canceled.
