One dog killed, another missing after fire in Frankfort Center

By WKTV News

FRANKFORT CENTER, N.Y. (WKTV) - A home in Frankfort Center went up in flames early Friday morning on Dutch Hill Road. The fire broke out shortly after 3 a.m. When our crews arrived on the scene, there was actually a large explosion within the fire.

We're told two people lived in the home. One person was home when the fire broke out and made it out safely thanks to a smoke detector.

That person called 9-1-1 from a neighbor's house.

One dog was killed in the fire and another dog is missing.

Still no word on what sparked the blaze.
