FDA warns against wearing decorative lenses on Halloween

(WKTV) -  With halloween a week from Thursday, public safety experts are warning against using decorative contact lenses in costumes on the 31st.
The lenses are used to change the color or appearance of your eyes, such as in cat costumes, etc.
According to federal law, a prescription is required to buy them, but some vendors continue to sell them over the counter.
The Food and Drug Administration warns consumers these lenses can cause infections, ulcers and in some cases, lead to blindness.
