Five Utica men charged for stealing auto parts from salvage company

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Five Utica men are facing charges after authorities say they stole more than $25,000 in auto parts from an area salvage company.

The New York State Police say they have concluded a six-month investigation into the theft of numerous aluminum car rims from "Vince's U-Pull-It," an auto salvage company located in the Town of Marcy. Authorities say the total of the rims stolen was more than $25,000.

Over the course of the past week, concluding Wednesday, five individuals, all from Utica were charged in the case, each one charged with third-degree grand larceny.

Those arrested were:

*Jariel Rodriguez, 19, of Utica
*Jonathan Duran, 21, of Utica
*George L. Grullon, 20, of Utica
*Luis M. Grullon, 26, of Utica
*Luis A. Grullon, 22, of Utica

State Police said Rodriguez and Duran were arraigned in the Town of Marcy Court and were released. The Grullons were all arraigned in the Town of Floyd Court and were committed to the Oneida County Jail on bail.
