Five new retailers are coming to North Utica

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - According to the mayor's office, the City of Utica Planning Board has granted Preliminary Site Plan Approval for a new building at Riverside Center.

Riverside Enterprises LLC, a subsidiary of Nightingale Properties, is seeking site plan approval in order to construct a new 7,500 square foot outbuilding at 710 Horatio Street.

The structure will feature five retails spaces, including ZoomTan, GNC and Game Stop. Tenants for the balance of the space have yet to be announced. The proposed building will be constructed along the western side of the property, adjacent to the NYS Route 8/12 in line with the Verizon building.

"Developers from outside the City of Utica continue to recognize our potential, Nightingale's project sustains my belief that North Utica will help lead our economic comeback," Mayor Robert Palmieri said., "Riverside Center has solidified its position as one of the most important commercial engines in the region."
