Former Frankfort officer sentenced in Oneida County Court for stolen weapon

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A former Village of Frankfort Police Officer was in Oneida County Court on Wednesday where he heard his sentence for a plea to fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Daniel Hermann entered the plea last month in Oneida County Court, the same month that he was sentenced to probation in Herkimer County Court for illegally obtaining cell phone records of a fellow officer.

On Wednesday, a judge sentenced Herrman to 150 hours community service and five years probation.

Herrmann had told the judge that Former Frankfort Police Chief Steven Conley gave him a gun as a gift, and that he didn't know it was village property.
