UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The former owner of New York Pizzeria and Deli in New Hartford who plead guilty to sexual abuse in regard to several of his female employees is now facing new charges after authorities say he tried to sell drugs to an undercover officer.

According to Utica Police, around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, the UPD Metro Unit arrest Nicholas Cavalier, 42, of Utica after they say he sold what was originally believed to be hydrocodone to an undercover police officer.

Upon testing, authorities said the drugs were not actually hydrocodone, but an imitation drug.

Cavalier is now charged with sale of an imitation controlled substance.

In March 2010, Cavalier was sentenced to a year in the Oneida County Jail after pleading guilty to first-degree sexual abuse. He was accused of forced, unwanted contact with three female employees at this then-pizzeria business. The business has since been sold.
