Four year old fire victim released from hospital
UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The four-year-old girl whose limp, lifeless body Utica firefighters pulled from her burning east Utica apartment a week and a half ago has been released from the hospital. Halima Haji suffered severe smoke inhalation and burns to her hands and knees. She spent a week at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse and is now home with her family. The family's apartment at Adrean Terrace was destroyed. However, Utica's Municipal Housing Authority placed the family in another apartment, and say the apartment is full, thanks to donations from the community ranging from kitchen appliances to bed sheets. On Tuesday, the family is getting a U-Haul to retrieve some large donations, like furniture sets, from donors in Rome.
