(WKTV) - Fourteen people -- including 11 juveniles ages 12-15 -- were arrested on numerous charges in Dolgeville after a trespassing complaint revealed vandalism, property destruction and theft, Dolgeville police say.
According to police, the suspects broke into numerous buildings, where they vandalized and destroyed property, causing excessive damage to the inside of the buildings and furniture.
The subjects are also accused of stealing security cameras, a collection of crystal and gemstones and numerous bottles of liquor. Some of the subjects also defecated and urinated in the buildings, which caused additional damage and destroyed a large-screen TV.
The business owner says the clean-up and replacement costs is estimated to be more than $42,000.
Eleven juveniles between the ages of 12 and 15 are facing one or more of the following charges: Criminal mischief in the second and fourth degree, unlawfully dealing with a child (providing alcohol), endangering the welfare of a child, making a false written statement, criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree, petit larceny, criminal trespass in the third degree and burglary in the third degree.
A 16-year-old is charged with criminal trespass in the third degree. A second 16-year-old is charged with burglary in the third degree.
Dylan Balderston, 21, is charged with criminal trespass in the third degree and providing a false written statement.
