Frankfort man accused of shooting rifle out a window

(WKTV) - A Village of Frankfort man is accused of firing a rifle out of his vehicle window, Frankfort Town Police said.

Harold R. Wehrle Jr. of the Village of Frankfort is charged with reckless endangerment in the second degree.

According to police, the Herkimer County 911 center received reports of a man firing a vehicle out of a vehicle window around 4 p.m. on Saturday in the Frankfort Gorge. Police located the vehicle and arrested Wehrle. Police say a rifle was found in the vehicle.

Department of Environmental Conservation Police assisted in the investigation. Additional charges are pending.
