Free radon tests available to Otsego County residents

(WKTV) - As part of National Radon Action Month, residents of Otsego County can get a free radon test kit, the Otsego County Health Department said.

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, exposure to radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States and is responsible for about 20,000 deaths in the country each year. Otsego County has been identified as a high radon risk area by the EPA and the state health department.
