Funeral services under way for trooper killed in on-duty crash

NORTH SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - State troopers from across New York are gathering in the Syracuse area for funeral services for a
colleague who died in an on-duty crash last week.

Hundreds of troopers and other law enforcement officers are
expected to bid farewell to Trooper Amanda Anna during services
being held Friday morning at a church in the village of North
Syracuse. Gov. Andrew Cuomo is also expected to attend the funeral.

Authorities say the 31-year-old trooper from Liverpool died
early last Saturday morning after her state police patrol vehicle
crashed last Friday night on a road in Oswego County.

Anna will be buried in a cemetery in Fair Haven in neighboring
Cayuga County, where she grew up.

Her survivors include her 4-year-old son.
