Garage sale in Frankfort helps Forgotten Friends Pet Rescue

By WKTV News

FRANKFORT, N.Y. (WKTV) - A major garage sale got underway on Friday to help animals that might not otherwise have another chance at life.

"Forgotten Friends Pet Rescue" in Sharon Springs takes in animals that might otherwise have been turned away form a shelter, such as horses, donkeys, ducks, pig, but also handles dogs and cats.

Food, cleaning supplies, and veterinarian bills all add up and in an effort to help the rescue raise some money, numerous people stepped forward to lend a hand.

"A lot of it came from my friends at work," said Kris Wilson, a Booster Club member. "Our Booster Club had donated a lot and people from the community called and messaged us on Facebook saying they'd like to bring stuff, which was very nice."

The garage sale runs all day Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. until dark and takes place at 171 Center Road in Frankfort.
