Girl missing from Syracuse believed to be headed toward Utica area

Authorities are searching for a teenage girl who went missing in the Syracuse area on December 29 and is believed to be headed toward the Utica area.

According to Syracuse Police, Jessica Clarke, 15 was last seen in the area of Thompson Road and Salt Springs Road in Syracuse on December 29. She has brown eyes and light brown hair, weighing 130 pounds and is roughly 5'4" tall.

Family says she also goes by "Jess" or "Jessie" and is believed to possibly be headed to the Utica area with another girl.

Syracuse Police say she is a runaway from the Elmcrest Children's Center, but officials at Elmcrest could not confirm to the Syracyse Post-Standard whether the girl was a resident, citing privacy concerns.
