Good Life Coffee brings local spin to traditional beverage

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A brand new coffee shop in Utica is promoting a cup of Joe as not only essential for an energy boost, but also for it's nutritional value.
The Good Life Coffee Express, which just opened up on Oriskany Boulevard in Yorkville (right next to Voss'), said that coffee can be beneficial for people who suffer from a Vitamin-D deficiency.
Good Life Coffee is locally produced, and has been in grocery stores for a while, but this is the very first "serving station" for the company.
The owner came up with the idea because of his own Vitamin-D deficiency.
"Coffee is a diuretic so it takes vitamins out of your system," said Dave Hadsz. "But this counteracts the effects. You're actually replenishing your body with vitamins."

Vitamins B, B-6, B-9, B-12 and Iron, among other vitamins are actually infused into the coffee bean before its brewed.
