Griffo announces funds for New Hartford roads

(WKTV) - State Sen. Joe Griffo announced a nearly $300,000 grant for paving projects in New Hartford on Wednesday.

The grant and $182,000 from the Consolidated Highway Improvement Program will pay for almost 90 percent of the summer project. Eight miles of roadway will be repaved as part of the $540,000 project.

"This is going to pay for repairs that are necessary after such a tough winter," Griffo said.

Among those roads that will be repaved are portions of Chestnut, Clintonview, Evalon, Gilbert, Grange Hill, Hubbarton, Mapledale, Mayberry, Pinecrest, Weston and Woodberry roads. Also, Lindale and Oakdale avenues; Bayberry, Grasshopper, Pheasant, Sherman, Sherrill and Slaytonbush lanes; Imperial, Rollingwood, Salisbury, Sherman and South Hill drives, Alvin Place and Regal Court.
