HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - The 4th Annual "H.A.L.O. Hoedown" was held Sunday to benefit for the "Helping Animals Live Organization."

The family-friendly event took place indoors at the Silverado Inn, in Herkimer.

Country music was the main form of entertainment with special guest Sean Patrick McGraw, a semi-finalist on the reality show "Nashville Star."

There were raffles, door prizes and a silent auction.

The Fulton Chain Gang, TJ Sacco, Redneck Rodeo Cowboys, The Dependents and some H.A.L.O. volunteers also performed. All of the musical acts donated their time.

The H.A.L.O. Shelter is located in Little Falls and is home to about 100 cats. The shelter is actually a home, where the cats are free to roam around. The organization does not receive funding or grants and rely solely on donations.

Organizers say it was a great turnout and a great time.
