HCCC hosts students from China

HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - Herkimer County Community College is hosting 47 high school students from China. It is called Bright Vision Camp, which helps international students get exposure to life in America.

While here, they will meet with faculty, have lunch with the college president and dinner with the dean.

The goal of the camp is to increase international enrollment at the school. HCCC Dean of Students Matthew Hawes, said, "Out of this 47, we expect at least 30 students to apply here and attend here in the spring of 2013."

HCCC already has more than 100 international students enrolled in the 2012 semester. Over the next three days, the students will also visit Hamilton College and SUNYIT.
