HCCC students meet author/columnist Leonard Pitts

HERKIMER, N.Y. - Herkimer County Community College students, faculty and staff recently had the opportunity to meet author and Miami Herald columnist Leonard Pitts.

They attended a presentation by Pitts titled "A Single Garment of Destiny," given at Utica College on April 18. Pitts’ presentation was based on a speech given by Martin Luther King Jr., and he addressed the issue of how different cultures need to learn to live in harmony as one.

After the presentation, Pitts met with the students and autographed their books.
