Habitat for Humanity ReStore seeking volunteers, donations

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - The old McHarris Gifts Outlet location in South Utica gets new life as Oneida County Habitat for Humanity is launching a ReStore.

A ReStore is a place you can go to buy leftover building materials and items people have donated. The money will benefit Habitat for Humanity. The store features things such as tiles, molding and other fixtures.

Oneida County's ReStore will be at 216 Seward Ave.

"What we're looking for are donations of new and slightly used items," said Rob Wilson, ReStore manager. "Some of the items we will be carrying include building materials, great donations from hardware stores -- from plumbing to electrical -- used furniture and appliances."

Before the ReStore can open in February, volunteers are needed to clean, paint and set up shelving.

Those interested in volunteering can call 525-1463.
