Hamilton College students work to help youngsters get excited about science

UTICA, N.Y.(WKTV) - College students got to work with elementary and middle school students Monday morning at the Children's Museum all in an effort to get the youngsters excited about science.

Hamilton College Outreach Adventure students assisted children in putting together several cool "STEM" exhibits.
"STEM" stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

Children ages 5-7 got to work on a Mars Rover Lego set while 8 and 9-year-olds got to work with electricity. Meanwhile, students ages 10 and up got to work on a rock tumbler and a rocket robot kit.

The exhibits will be displayed in The Children's Museum's STEM room.

The Hamilton College students will be back at The Children's Museum, located at 311 Main Street in Utica, Tuesday morning.
