Hanna makes campaign stops as race winds down

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - U.S. Rep. Richard Hanna made a campaign stop Monday in Rome in anticipation of Tuesday's 22nd Congressional District Republican primary.

Hanna visited with patrons of Eddy's Paramount Diner, a stop he has made during his first two successful runs in 2010 and 2012. Afterward, Hanna headed to the Binghamton area for another stop. He said he and his staff have been making calls to as many constituents as possible.

"We're running on our record like we did the last couple of times," Hanna said. "And I'm a guy that's been a businessman for 35 years. I know my community. I feel comfortable in many ways that we've done a good job -- in many ways an outstanding job compared to so many people down in DC -- and I think we have a good chance at being elected, so we'll see.

Hanna is urging all registered Republicans to get out and vote, no matter who your candidate is.
