Having a "blah" Monday? You're not alone!

By WKTV News

CONSUMER (WKTV) - Blue Monday, as it's been dubbed on social media, is now the first Monday in January.

Experts attribute it to weather, post holiday debt, the back-to-work, back-to-school drudgery, and lack of sleep.

The web analysis says millions of people suffer on Blue Monday.

It was originally coined in 2005, by an academic in Europe, as the last Monday of January.

The date was calculated using scientific factors like weather conditions, debt levels, failed resolutions, and the number of days off since the holiday.

After nine years of research and nearly 2 million tweets, experts have changed Blue Monday to the first Monday of January.
