(WKTV) - A Herkimer man living under an assumed name was arrested on drug and forgery charges, Herkimer Police said.
Derrick O. Lynah, 28, was charged with possession of marijuana, forgery and criminal impersonation.
According to authorities, the Herkimer/Mohawk Special Response Team executed a search warrant on Park Avenue in the village. Police took a man in custody and he then allegedly provide them with a false name. Police learned the man was wanted by the New York State Division of Parole in the Bronx and was living in Herkimer under an assumed name, officials said.
Lynah was sent to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility on no bail. The Division of Parole also lodged a warrant for Lynah.
Police say they recovered crack, cocaine, marijuana, packaging materials and cash from Lynah's apartment. Herkimer Police were assisted by the Herkimer County District Attorney's Office. Additional arrests are pending.
