High winds overnight blow through Central New York

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - High winds are causing power outages across the region. The winds began to subside around 7 a.m.

Meanwhile, winter storm warnings are in effect for parts of western New York.

Today's rainfall will give way to snow storms that will dump between 2 inches and more than a foot in some areas in the Buffalo-Niagara region.

Several inches are expected in parts of central New York and the Adirondacks.
