NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - Almost 200 youth hockey players, from all over the country and even the world, are gathering at the New Hartford Rec Center, this weekend.
The players come from all different youth organizations, and congregate on one sheet of ice in order to get coached by "Valley Elite".
This weekend, summer teams are forming, and this gives a chance for the players to compete with and against the best.
Valley Elite started locally two years ago.
"We just continue to build here, everyone loves the town loves the atmosphere, New Hartford and Utica the homey feeling being part of a small community," said Hockey Director, Tyler Watkins. "We're a family organization all about close together close knit group and Utica's the best place for us to continue to do that."

Signups for the Valley Elite programs start in August each year.
