IHOP giving away free pancakes for a cause

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - Tuesday is National pancake Day, and IHOPs around the country -- including the New Hartford location -- are giving away a free short-stack of buttermilk pancakes.

In return for the free food, IHOP asks that you consider leaving a donation for Children's Miracle Network. This is the ninth year IHOP is giving back to the community and to CMN. As they say, it's great food for free for a great cause.

"We raise for the community for CMN," said Tom Grefer, IHOP general manager. "We raise a couple thousand dollars for the community."

Grefer says the restaurant will be packed all day, but a full staff has been brought in to ensure service runs smoothly.

The restaurant will be giving the pancakes away until the 10 p.m. close on Tuesday.
