Identity of man burned in Annsville fire released

(WKTV) - The Oneida County Sheriff's Office has released more information regarding the Tuesday-morning fire on Glenmore Road in the Town of Annsville.

According to officials, around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to the Glenmore Road home for a reported domestic incident. Before deputies arrived, the home was engulfed by flames.

One of the home's occupants -- 53-year-old Michael Zavaro -- was unable to escape the home and became overwhelmed by smoke and flames. He was transported to Rome Memorial Hospital before being airlifted to Upstate Medical Center. He is listed in critical condition.

The investigation into the domestic incident and fire is continuing.
