Ikiko Brown given two weeks to mull plea offer in two bank robberies

By WKTV News

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The man accused of two recent bank robberies pleaded not-guilty Wednesday in Oneida County Court.

Ikiko Brown is accused of robbing the Bank of America on Mohawk Street in Utica in May 2010, and NBT Bank in Rome in July.

He has two weeks from Tuesday, September 8 to decide on a plea offer from the district attorneys office - 30 years in prison for a plea to two counts of robbery.

If convicted, that sentence would be closer to 40 years.

Prosecutors say Ikiko Brown was the getaway driver, not the shooter.
