Early-morning fight after Saranac Thursday leads to drug charges

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Utica Police have released information regarding a fight on Varick Street early Friday morning after Saranac Thursday.

Police say 21-year-old Andrew Brank, of Frankfort, head-butted another male around 12:45 Friday morning inside the Blu nightclub on Varick Street.

The victim, who sustained facial injuries told police he tried to break up a fight between Brank and others, when he was head-butted by Brank.

Brank is now charged with assault and unlawful possession of marijuana.
