NEWS YOU CAN USE (WKTV) - Angelina Jolie wrote an op-ed in the New York Times revealing that she had a double mastectomy. We asked for your opinion on the article, the test she had done, and the procedure.

She says after watching her mother die from cancer at the age of 56, Jolie says she didn't want her own children to be afraid they'd lose her to cancer.

She says she had the procedure as a preventative measure after test that costs $3,000, which showed she carried a gene that made it extremely likely she would get breast cancer: 87 percent chance of getting cancer.

Jolie says now the likelihood of getting breast cancer has dropped to 5 percent after the surgery.

We asked what you thought about it on the WKTV Facebook page.

Head on over to join in the conversation.
