(WKTV) - Jonas Kelly, the co-owner of JAY-K Lumber, has been named chair of the the Northeastern Retail Lumber Association.
Kelly was named chair at the 2013 NRLA Annual Meeting in Cooperstown.
Kelly received his bachelor of arts degree from Hobart College and worked for Somerville Lumber for a year. Kelly returned to his family business, which was founded by Kelly's grandfather and run by his father and uncle for years. He is also active in the community and has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and participated in the United Way Young Leaders Program, among other volunteer organizations.
"This is a great honor and recognition for all of us at JAY-K Lumber," Kelly said. "Everyone here is a big part of our success, and a reason many see us in a position of leadership in the organization."
Kelly is married to Heidi Jones and has three black Labradors. He is an avid skier, competitive sailboat racer and fly fisherman.
