Judge expects decision in several weeks regarding evidence suppression in Dudley Ave homicide
UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - An Oneida County Court Judge has reserved decision in a hearing regarding statements an accused killer made to police.
Trevon Patterson, 19, along with his half-brother, Robert Thompson, is accused of robbing and shooting George Garrow to death in his Dudley Ave home the night before Thanksgiving 2009. On Tuesday, August 17, 2010, attorneys argued the admissibility of statements Patterson allegedly made to police after his arrest.Defense Attorney Christopher Pelli says the officers went too far during the interview process, even lying about what his half brother was saying in the other interview room, thus coercing certain statements from Patterson. Judge Barry Donalty is expected to issue a decision in the next couple of weeks. |
