MAYVILLE, N.Y. (AP) - A Virginia man has been convicted of shooting to death an upstate New York school superintendent over an online relationship with the man's wife.

Local media report that a Chautauqua County jury in western New York deliberated about three hours Friday before finding Anthony Taglianetti guilty of second-degree murder in the 2012 death of Keith Reed.

Prosecutors told jurors that Taglianetti drove 350 miles from his Virginia home and shot Reed after learning his wife had an online relationship with him.

Reed was the superintendent of the Clymer Central School District.
