Kangoo Jumps get you bouncing into next Boilermaker

So you say you watched the Boilermaker again and you think you've got what it takes to do it next year?

Marissa Rocci-Armstrong PT, DPT says "When you're running all that force between your weight and the momentum is going through your joints for every step you take."

Marissa is a runner herself. She's also the physical therapist at AR Physical Therapy in New Hartford and sees her share of injured runners and adds," in an activity like running obviously you need strong bones but the muscle support needs to be there as well."

Denese Jassak was always a runner, but ten years ago, a severe car accident ended that and she stopped completely until now.

"The absorption from the boot helps stop the pain. I don't have any pain when I'm taking the class," she said.

The boots she's talking about are called Kangoo Jumps and Diann Gorea of "Keep it Off " fitness Studio, and she might have the solution for people who can't run.

Diann is a certified Kangoo Jump instructor and you really have to see it to believe it and maybe even try it for yourself.

"They take 80% of the impact off of your knees your hips your back." according to Diann.

She has bouncing students ranging from 20 to 70 years old.

Participants say their endorphins go sky high and you just want to keep going with them. You can start off slowly and work up to a bounce and then run and before you know it, it will be time to take your place at the starting line.

As with all exercise routines, check with your doctor first and then ready to run like a kangaroo.
