Kicinski to run Third Party in Congressional race

By WKTV News

DECISION 2012 (WKTV) - Michael Kicinski, who was defeated in a Republican Primary against incumbent Congressman Richard Hanna on Tuesday night, now says that he will continue to run for the 22nd Congressional District, but as a third party candidate.

Thanking those who supported him in the Republican primary, Kicinski announced his plans for the future on Wednesday afternoon.

"We want to thank all the people who came out and voted for us, and all the people who worked so hard on the campaign. We thank the individuals and groups that have endorsed us: Carl Paladino, Doug Hoffman, New York State Right to Life, and New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms," Kicinski said,

"The People deserve a representative that stands for the values of the Republican Party. Therefore, we have decided to run on a third party Tea Party Patriots line. We will be on the ballot in November."
