Kids learning the science behind weather at camp

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - There's been crazy weather in the area this summer, and on Tuesday, kids are learning first-hand how it all happens.

And they're learning from the best.

WKTV's own meteorologist Bill Kardas stepped away from the green screen to teach kids about hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards and more. Kardas hopes to get some of these young students hooked on the science behind the weather we experience each day.

"The kids are here to learn, but they're also here to get excited about the science," said Kardas.

The camp runs through Thursday.
