UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Former Utica College Professor Richard Emmert was in Utica City Court on Monday where the his his lewdness case was adjourned with contemplation for dismissal in six months.

Emmert was one of 12 men that police arrested on various lewdness charges on June 24 after an undercover sex crime sting at Roscoe Conkling Park, attached to the City of Utica's Valley View Golf Course.

Officials said the adjournment comes with two stipulations - 80 hours of community service and Emmert must stay away from the park.

That means as long as he stays out of trouble for six months, the case will be dismissed and sealed.
