Lifeworks walk gives people a safe, supportive path towards recovery


UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - On a gloomy Saturday in Central New York, residents to the pathways of Chancellor Park to put sunshine back in the lives of people attempting to recover from illnesses and addiction.

The walk was hosted by Oneida County Lifeworks, in the hopes that it would join in celebrating National Recovery Month.

Participants of the even walked to celebrate their lives, obstacles cleared, and their important place within the community.

The Lifeworks Recovery Walk worked with a local church to create a community recovery center for those struggling to break free from addiction, alcoholism, or mental illness.
