Like Black Friday, Small Business Saturday starts early in Clinton

By SPENCER DAVIDSON

CLINTON, N.Y. (WKTV) - With Black Friday nearing its end, Small Business Saturday has become the focus for many local residents.

The Annual Clinton Shopper's Stroll kicked off, Friday afternoon, expanding from its normal one-day event to a two-day affair.

People walked along East and West Park Row in the Village Green of Clinton to support the local shops and restaurants, and avoid the craziness of major shopping centers.

"This is more personal," said Clinton Lions Club President, Mike Moore. "Small town, home town experience. I think it's one of the pearls of the community."

The Stroll will continue until 9 p.m., Friday night, and will continue Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
