Little Falls woman stabbed in home invasion burglary

(WKTV) - Little Falls police are searching for a suspect after a home invasion and stabbing Sunday night on Top Notch Drive in the City of Little Falls.

According to authorities, police responded to a report at 10:22 p.m. Sunday. A woman says she was awoken by her dogs barking and when she came into the hallway, she saw a man wearing dark clothing and a ski mask. The woman attempted to physically confront the man, who stabbed her once in the stomach with a small jack knife. He then ran out of the home.

The woman was transported to Little Falls Hospital, where she was treated for a minor injury.

The man is described as a white man with a stocky build, standing about 6'2" or 6'3".

The area around the home was searched by Little Falls Police Department, New York State Police and Dolgeville Police. There is no known suspect.
