Live music returning to Munson Williams this summer

By WKTV News

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute is set to bring back live music, with a collaboration with the new, "Utica Civic Music Society."

The Society was founded last year, and this summer will be bringing small live shows to the Utica museum.

One of the more anticipated shows will be on June 14th, as the Utica Philharmonic will be at the Institute to blend their music with artwork from the 17th and 18th century Europe.

"I did some research and found out that back in the '20's there was a live music society and I resurrected that as a way to put on smaller shows in smaller venues," said Rocco Garra of the Utica Civic Music Society.

Tickets for the events will be $20 a piece.
