(WKTV) - With the latest New York Safe Act gun law set to go into effect on Tuesday, local gun owners made their thoughts about the entire Safe Act known, Saturday.
Members of the Ilion Fish and Game Club were among numerous clubs around the state that held a 'Shot Heard Around the State' event.
There have been similar demonstrations in the past, since the New York Safe Act was passed over a year ago.
Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney was among the protesters, as she voted against the Act, and continues to rally support to get it overturned.
She considers the new law to be an infringement on citizens' 4th Amendment rights, and is hoping that it get repealed in the near future.

The deadline to register any guns that are considered assault weapons under the new laws is April 15.
